Project Title:
VHAI PAT & APPLE -3 (Partnership against Tobacco and Action for Policies, Politics, Legislations and Empowerment)
Project Goal:
The project aims to create smoke free public places by strengthening and expanding tobacco control initiatives in two districts of Uttar Pradesh i.e. Lucknow and Shahjahanpur. It will create smoke free public places within cities and districts; create tobacco free educational institutions by strengthening enforcement of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), and improve enforcement, monitoring and compliance of tobacco control laws.
Specific Objectives:
Create Smoke Free Public Places / Cities / Districts
Create Tobacco free Education Institutions by strengthening the enforcement of COTPA Section-6
Improved enforcement, monitoring and compliance of Tobacco Control Laws
Strengthened and empowered civil society to support and sustain the tobacco control efforts
